Anne-Marie Gagnon

Anne-Marie Gagnon joined BCI in 2013 and oversees the implementation of BCI’s ESG strategy in credit, including investments in sustainable bonds, and leads climate engagement with public companies. This includes BCI’s involvement with investor-led initiative Climate Action 100+. With $233.0 billion in gross assets under management as of March 31, 2023, BCI is one of the largest institutional investors in Canada.

Prior to BCI, Anne-Marie served as Regional Manager for Africa and the Middle East at Export Development Canada, a federal crown corporation and Canada’s export credit agency. In this role, she was responsible for business development in support of Canadian exporters and investors in emerging markets.

Anne-Marie earned an undergraduate degree in business administration with a major in finance from the Université de Sherbrooke and a graduate degree in public and international affairs from the University of Ottawa. She holds a Global Competent Board designation and serves on the board of the Canadian Bond Investors’ Association.
